The Shamanic Sweatlodge - also called the Schwitzütte, the Cabana de Purificação, the Tamazcal... Is an ancient shamanic ritual of purification, death and rebirth.

It has existed in all known human cultures in one form or another, and is seen as an essential tool for restoring balance and harmony between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual parts of a person.

​

Known as 'the womb of mother earth' the schwitzhütte is a space of profound transformation - helping people to connect with deeply buried inner resources, receive guidance for their life path and to heal old emotional wounds that are preventing them from living a full and open-hearted life.

​

In the schwitzhütte process, we work with the four elements - Earth, Water, Air, Fire - using this ancient system to understand who we are, and what we need in this life. We also work with herbs, group dynamics, singing, drumming and dancing to evoke our inner guides.

We make our schwitzhütte ritual surrounded by nature, and she teaches us everything we need to know about the cycles of life, the seasons and our own inner unfolding.

Once a month we come together as a community to make our schwitzhütte ritual and to celebrate life, to sing and drum together, to share our joys and our sorrows, and then we return to our daily lives feeling a little bit less lost, a little bit less disconnected and a little bit more in contact with our innermost being.
